He served as Secretary of Defense under President George H.W. Bush, overseeing America’s military during the 1991 Operation Desert Storm. He served as chairman and CEO of Halliburton, a Fortune 100 company. As the 46th Vice President of the United States during the dawn of the Global War on Terror, he played a key role in events that have shaped history. He and his wife Lynne Cheney have two daughters and seven grandchildren.
