Meg and her sister Sue are ready for a few good scares when they go to the Halloween party at their new school on Long Island. But when they take shelter from Meg's arch-enemy, Kenny Stover, in a ruined cottage on Horse Hollow Road, they discover they have been scared right out of this world!
