At a reunion of old school pupils and friends, recently retired Belle Harrington overhears a story about a gang of seven bullies, who blighted her life decades earlier. Over the course of twenty-five years, six of the seven have died or disappeared. One every five years, three months after each reunion. All seemingly accidental. Co-incidence . . . or something else?
Working reluctantly with the only remaining member of the gang, and with the next anniversary imminent, Belle sets out to discover if there has been something sinister at work. Her investigation uncovers long kept secrets, lies and deception, as she homes in on the truth of what really occurred, and unleashes a nightmare that could destroy her new life in the Cornish town of St Foy.
