The book presents a comprehensive analysis of I Corinthians 13 in which Edwards explicates what is charity, or Christian love. Edwards sees charity, or love as the central principle of Christianity and it can be understood as the Holy Spirit from within. He thinks profoundly about each aspect of the discourse on love, and his perceptions are sustained.
