We select from Chinese literature some of the popular sayings used in Chinese society. In this volume, the first Roman characters of the sayings range from H to S. For each Chinese character in the sayings, we provide the Pinyin, its standard pronunciation and meaning. A learner of the Chinese language can listen to the sound clip accompanying the character to learn its standard pronunciation, and use these sayings to learn pinyin and its standard pronunciation besides learning about Chinese language and culture.
