Halloween auf Burg Frankenstein! Am letzten Oktober-Wochenende jeden Jahres treffen sich dort, in der Nähe von Darmstadt, Horror-Freaks aus aller Welt. Vampire, Werwölfe, Zombies und das Monster Frankenstein treiben ihr Unwesen. Verkleidete Schauspieler, die den Gästen in der kalten Nebelnacht das Gruseln lehren wollen. Doch in diesem Jahr ist alles anders: Ein paar leichtsinnige Freunde führen eine Zeremonie durch und das echte Frankenstein-Monster erwacht zu neuem unheiligen Leben. Und das Grauen beginnt von neuem.
