The year is 1945. The Third Reich has unleashed, and subsequently lost the Second World War. Their home in Europe lies in ruins, and their dictator Hitler has escaped by means of suicide. However, some incorrigible Nazi soldiers, scientists and civilians make their way from a secret research station in Antarctica (Neu Schwabenland) to the moon. The moon? Yes, the moon. The so-called Reichsflugscheibe has been developed under utmost secrecy, and now the deluded, miserable remainder of a once considerable force hopes to build a future in space in order to establish the Fourth Reich on Earth one day.
Author Ilsa von Braunfels wrote this short story as part of the IRON SKY universe, inspired by the movie of the same name. This small prequel to the main story of "IRON SKY - The Book to the Movie Phenomenon" takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the initial journey of the (future) moon-Nazis to their desired destination.
