Cape Cod, a wrecked schooner and a boy who goes into the wrecking business with an old captain. Joseph C. Lincoln wrote nearly fifty novels of the Cape and its longshoremen, and his dialogue is the best record there is of that speech. The comedy is dry and the storm chapters are serious. This edition is bound with sixty plates of painting, among them Winslow Homer, George Inness and John Thomas Serres, dating from 1771 to 1904.
