Über dieses Buch

The case perplexes the Paris police due to several impossible details: • The Crime Scene: The daughter's body was choked and forcefully shoved upside down into a narrow chimney, while the mother's body was found in the backyard with her throat cut so deeply that her head fell off. • Locked-Room Element: The murders took place in a fourth-floor room that was locked from the inside. • The Witness Testimony: Numerous neighbors heard the killer speaking, but they completely disagreed on the language. A French witness thought the voice spoke Spanish, an English witness thought it was German, a Dutch witness thought it was French, and so on. No one could understand the actual words spoken.
