Confessions of A Shopaholic

Hörbuch

Sophie Kinsella's debut is a rollicking romp through the perils of shopping and spending, spending, spending! Becky can't resist a sale, and she's only a little overdrawn on her VISA. Besides, that new scarf is just too cute to pass up. Readers will laugh aloud at Becky's retail adventures as she finds new and creative ways to relieve her increasingly burdensome credit card debt. Emily Gray's narration bounces along with Becky and her buying whims, while delivering a humorous account of what happens when credit goes bad.

Great narration, but that's a pretty creepy book for something thats supposed to be a romantic comedy or at least light-hearted women's fiction. There's nothing romantic about this book, by the way, in case you were wondering. There's a couople of funny moments, lots of cringe and... honestly, I hadn't expected to see an actual addiction and all the patholodical avoidance and lies and so forth that can come with that type of issue. This Rebecca chick is not a healthy person, except for her surprising amount of self-esteem.
