With his delicate phraseology and deft massaging of truth and deception, Joseph Goebbels was the mouthpiece of a monstrous regime, dishing out propaganda for Nazi Germany throughout the Second World War. It was his mission to entirely subsume the consciousness of the German people with the warped ideals of the Nazi Party. Through this means, he convinced everyday Germans to look the other way while some of the worst atrocities in history were committed.
Joseph Goebbels believed that he could martial the whole of Germany for what he called “total war” through the power of his own forked tongue. In retrospect, one can’t help but be astonished at the influence this one man had on a whole nation of people. This is his story.
