"On to Pekin: Old Glory in China" by Edward Stratemeyer thrusts a group of brave young Americans into international adventure during a time of turmoil. As foreign armies and fierce locals collide at the gates of Pekin, each page brims with danger, loyalty, and hard choices. Marching under Old Glory, the boys learn about courage, sacrifice, and what it means to carry not only a flag, but the hopes and risks of their nation. Will they fulfill their mission and return home heroes—or will the barriers between cultures, and the heat of battle, prove insurmountable? Only in the heart of China will their courage be truly tested.
