Pirates of Venus

Pirates of Venus (1934) is the first novel in Edgar Rice Burroughs's Venus (or Amtor) series, blending adventure, romance, and science fiction. The story follows Carson Napier, an adventurous American who builds a rocket intended to reach Mars but miscalculates and crash-lands instead on Venus—called Amtor by its inhabitants. Venus is a mysterious, cloud-covered world filled with lush jungles, strange creatures, and warring civilizations.
