Dance in churches, Sacred Dance and services with dance and movement are reasonably new phenomena. Tatjana K. Schnütgen examines the relationship between dance, aesthetics and spirituality. By means of field research and empirical methodology the aesthetic experience of dance in spiritual practices can be described. Dance is understood as challenge and chance for contemporary Church. She raises the question on the effect and implications of dance for faith and life from the perspective of Practical Theology.
