Allen and his friends stop in the grand city of Phinis, seeking a moment’s respite on their journey to rescue Anriette from the capital. But their rest is cut short when they discover that the city has been locked down and put under the watch of the very Black Wolf Knights who arrested Anriette in the first place.

Allen and Riese hope to find the truth behind the corrupt organization’s actions, but the sound of a massive explosion heralds the end of their stay in the shadows and the return of an old foe.
