Somewhere In The Beginning Of The Year
“So what’s in store for me?????” Michelle Anderson asked Madame Marie.
“Let me concentrate dear,” Madame Marie was inspecting the palm of Michelle’s
right hand.
Michelle Anderson was a very pretty short-haired redhead, with emerald green
eyes and very pale complexion. And she stood about 5 foot 5. She had often been
mistaken for Scottish or Irish by many of her classmates back at Riverville High.
Right now she was at a fortune teller’s, having her palm read.
“Maybe I’ll have a nice big house!!! Maybe even marry someone rich!!
Someone tall!! Someone handsome!! Maybe someone from Spain or Italy!!!”Michelle
flattered herself with lots of wishful thoughts.
Madame Marie looked very serious. She was a Jamaican lady who looked like she
was in her fifties.
“Oh my!! This is not good!!! Not good at all!!!” Madame Marie was worried.
“Huh!!! What do you mean??” Michelle started to panic. She hated hearing bad
news.
Madame Marie looked from Michelle’s palm to Michelle’s worried face.
“My child!!!! It was a good thing that you came to see me of all days!!!!” Marie
was relieved.
“What?? What do you mean??? You’re kind of scaring me!!!” Michelle cried.
“Sometimes the spirits work in mysterious ways!! Perhaps it was they who will you
to come see me today!!” Marie was serious.
Michelle wanted to retract her hand from the fortune teller but her instincts made her
felt that her life depended on what Madame Marie had to say.“So are you going to tell me what it is???” she asked.
“You are in grave danger my child!!!” Marie spoke.
“Danger??? What kind of danger???” Michelle had to know.
“Your life is at stake!! But not to worry!! It is not today!! Not even tomorrow!!!”
Marie assured.
Michelle was annoyed.
Not today?? Not tomorrow?? So when??, Michelle thought.
Michelle wanted to cut to the chase.
“Why is my life in danger???” Michelle asked.
Madame Marie gazed back at her right palm.
Marie even moved the tip of her right hand’s pointing finger all over the hand-lines
on Michelle’s palm, normally used by spiritual experts to tell someone how long their life
expectancy was or how many children they were going to have in life.
Madame Marie looked back at Michelle’s very worried face.
“All I can tell you is that from now on you must be on your guard!!!!” Marie
cautioned.
“Ok!! I’ll do that!!!” Michelle was trying to be analytical.
She was on the verge of being sceptical about Madame Marie.
“And one other thing!!!” Madame Marie warned.
“And what is that????” Michelle asked.
“Beware of who your friends are!!! Not all of them who are what they seem!!!”
Madame Marie warned. “A wolf in sheep’s clothing!!!!”
Her life was at stake because of who she hung out with.
“Thanks!!!! I’ll remember that!!!!” Michelle said.
Madame Marie then moved her fingers by Michelle’s veins, squeezing it and pulling
the girl’s upper body by her right hand. Pulling Michelle much closer to her over the table.
“This is not a joke child!!!! Heed my warning!!! Heed it before it is too late!!!
Beware of you hang out with!!! Someone who you think is your friend will try to kill
you!!!!” Madame Marie warned.
