In sixteen-year-old Mike Hernandez's life, only one thing is clear: Gay is NOT okay. When an awkward confrontation with Chris leads to an unexpected kiss instead of a much-expected punch, Mike's world is turned upside down. If you need help or suffer get in contact with @trevorproject Stay safe&sane 💖 It was an interesting experience to hear this coming of age book. My past teenage-self could identify with all the classic school drama. The characters are well written teenagers 😌 The book shows how much damage a toxic environment can cause and how important familiy/friends/allies are !! There was a lot of questioning/anxiety going on, I was reminded of my personal experience…(I had a lot of days in my youth were I thought there might be something wrong with me) Hearing this audio book was a constant reminder where I come from and how glad I am to be content with myself :) I loved the audiobook, there are some open storylines…I will definitely read book 2
