The Story of Burnt NjĂĄll, also known as NjĂĄls saga, is a thirteenth-century Icelandic saga that describes events between 960 and 1020. It considers blood feuds in the Icelandic Commonwealth. The tale's main characters are the friends NjĂĄll Thorgeirsson, a lawyer and a sage, and Gunnar HĂĄmundarson, a warrior. They were both drawn into a conflict based on the requirements of honor and lasted several decades. The Story of Burnt NjĂĄll is one of the complete literary sagas of the Icelandic epos and is an excellent read for the fans of Medieval literature.
