5 stjerner er et par stykker for lidt. Ringenes Herre er i forvejen i en klasse helt for sig selv som bog, og Andy Serkis læser og formidler teksten formidabelt. Både trofaste læsere af bogen og de, der har lært historien at kende gennem filmene, vil elske Serkis' fortolkning, som på en gang udbreder og uddyber Tolkiens mageløse fortælling. Hvis der fandtes en Oscar eller Nobelpris for lydbøger, ville Ringenes Herre læst af Andy Serkis være selvskreven modtager.
