"I, Alpha Miller, hereby reject you, Isla Higgins, as my mate and Luna of the Pembroke Pack," he said with a smirk, his beta pinning me against the wall. My heart shattered into a thousand pieces, and a physical ache coursed through me as pain consumed every fiber of my being.
After the humiliating rejection from her fated mate and his betrayal with his chosen mate, Mora, Isla leaves the pack, determined to start a new life. Five years later, she returns to the Pembroke Pack when her mother falls gravely ill. As she comes to terms with the past and becomes a respected warrior in the Eclipse Moon Pack, secrets and lies are revealed. Alpha Miller, now consumed by regret, is determined to reclaim his true Luna and plead for a second chance.
"I, Isla Higgins, accept your rejection of me as your mate and Luna of the Pembroke Pack."
The collective gasps around us only deepened Alpha Miller’s fury.
But I didn’t care anymore.
He meant nothing to me now, and the weight of years of pain and rejection finally lifted from my shoulders.
Why should I care about being rejected? Now, it’s my turn—my rejection, his regret.
