She’s trying to escape her disgraced rock-star past. He’s the Scottish movie idol adapting her fantasy novels. A blizzard is about to trap them together with the dead.
Five years after a disastrous performance shattered her all-female rock band Hecate’s Fury and exposed her private grief, Kaitlyn Storm (formerly Kate Wolf) has rebuilt her life as a bestselling author. But when a writer's retreat in a remote Big Bear cabin isolates her with Kane Devlin—the arrogant, charming lead actor in her film trilogy—she gets far more than script revisions.
Trapped by a brutal arctic storm, they trigger a dark haunting. Beneath the cabin floorboards, they uncover a ring belonging to Thomas and Malaya—an interracial couple torn apart by tragedy and prejudice 60 years ago, alongside a jealous spirit who refuses to rest.
Sparks fly between Kaitlyn and Kane as forced proximity turns into an intense, soul-bound passion. But the ghosts haven't chosen them by chance:
Kaitlyn’s mysterious band tattoo awakens her as a Shadow-walker—a human capable of crossing into the spirit realm.
Kane carries faery ancestry, connecting him to Kaitlyn through shared dreams, astral projection, and ancient soul-bonds (anam ceangailte).
When film production resumes, Kane retreats from public scrutiny, breaking Kaitlyn’s heart. But after a near-fatal accident on set in Ireland pushes Kane into a coma, Kaitlyn crosses the Atlantic to fight for his life and face the ghosts of her own past—including her unfaithful ex-husband, a secret miscarriage, and her unresolved bond with her former bandmates.
The Movie Star Who Followed Her into the Shadow World is a steamy, gothic paranormal romance featuring mature leads, forced proximity, dream walking, deep emotional healing, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
