Now aware of Millicia’s circumstances, Caim and his companions head toward the capital of the Garnet Empire. Or at least, that was their objective—until they find their way blocked by a landslide and are forced to stay in the post town of Jarro. After picking up work as adventurers, they eventually make the drastic decision to head into the monster-infested forest of the lycaons, enlisting the help of a black rabbit beastfolk girl to guide them. At first, everything goes smoothly—so smoothly, in fact, that Caim is able to enjoy some nighttime fun. However, when they reach the inner part of the forest, they encounter an unexpectedly powerful foe!
