Alex Verbeck is out to ruin my life. Heās the big guy on campus. And whatās worse? Weāre married. I think. Actually, Iām not entirely sure. You see, we were both on a spring break trip when one thing led to another. I was drinking. A lot. (You know how that goes.) Trust me, I couldnāt have written a better story if I tried and Iām in school to be a writerāscreenwriter to be exact. The memories of my night with Alex are hazy, but I remember his face and maybe a kiss ā¦ I woke up the next morning with a rock the size of Montana on my finger and immediately went in search of Alex. Iāll admit. Heās the most handsome guy Iāve ever met. His power and wealth aside, itās the hidden mysteries in those dark, cruel eyes that draw me in. When I found him the next morning, I expected warmth. Instead, I got bitterness and rage. Heās been volatile towards me ever since. But two can play this game. His mother has asked me to write a film on their family. Awesome! If Alex can pretend like nothing happened, then so can I. Until I canāt. Until circumstances tell me otherwise and Iām forced to turn to my enemy for help. Could my life get any more complicated?

Thereās nothing I hate more than a liar. And thatās exactly what Caitlyn Grey is. She plays the innocent. My friends and family love her, especially the guys. Too bad sheās mine. Iād find a way to move her on the other side of the mountain if I didnāt feel this crushing need. To keep her close. To watch her every lethal move. My mother asked her to write a script. Sheās a great writer. Iād tell her so if I didnāt also want to ring her pretty little neck every time I looked at her ā¦ or that damned ring on her finger. If she thinks she can use our baseless attraction to control me, sheās wrong. Itāll be a cold day in hell before I let anyone tell me how to live my life. Caitlyn will pay for what sheās done. Iāll make sure of it.
