Robert E. Howard fue un autor estadounidense nacido en 1906 y fallecido en 1936. Se le considera uno de los autores capitales de la literatura fantástica mundial y uno de los mayores exponentes del subgénero de Espada y Brujería. Entre sus creaciones inmortales se encuentran Conan el Bárbaro o Solomon Kane.
