Love Me Stalk Me : A Novel

For fans of Lights Out and You comes a dark rom-com debut about a woman who confides her fantasies to an AI boyfriend app—unaware she’s really talking to her hot, tattooed coworker who hacked her phone.

When overworked department store manager Izzy Russo downloads an AI boyfriend app to fill the emotional void left by her inattentive real one, she thinks she’s just venting to a harmless chatbot named “Caleb.” In reality, she’s been pouring her deepest, dirtiest fantasies into the ears of Callahan Knight—her store’s brooding new head of security.

Because Cal? He’s been listening. The moment he saw Izzy, he knew she was his. Did he hack her phone? Absolutely. But who could blame him? A woman like Izzy deserves to be cherished by someone who truly knows her worth—and he’ll do anything to be that man.

So when Izzy finally sees her boyfriend for who he really is, and the danger she’s unknowingly been caught up in, Cal is ready to protect her, no matter the cost. Even if it means revealing the truth.

She might not have meant to build the perfect man. But he’s here now. And he’s never letting her go.

Love Me Stalk Me is easily one of the best books I’ve read this year... and here’s why: The story follows Isabella “Izzy” Russo, the new store manager of a high-end retail shop, and the newly hired head of security/loss prevention, Callahan “Cal” Knight. In the middle of juggling a demanding job and an unfulfilling relationship, Izzy downloads an AI boyfriend app, expecting nothing more than a fun distraction. What she doesn’t expect is that our MMC — in all his IT expertise glory — hacks her phone and slips into the role of the AI boyfriend himself. And what in a surface level could seem like a case of stalking and controlling behaviour, actually turns out to be a a journey of self-worth, care, and emotional restoration, one chat at a time. Callahan Knight is the absolute star of this book (and honestly, one of the most wholesome and devoted MMCs I’ve ever read). Every word I read left me more and more in awe by how Laura Bishop managed to turn a seemingly cold, detached man into the prototype of what I feel could be the perfect partner: protective, attentive, consistently helping Izzy rebuild her confidence, and supporting her through her distorted self-image. I also loved how the book blends both POVs with their chat conversations. Those exchanges were some of my absolute favorite parts. The story keeps the banter, the sexual tension, and the suspense alive right up until the very end… and OMG, those last pages. You are not ready for that! Can you picture Joey Tribbiani’s love for food?... well, that’s how much I loved this book!
