To experience the gentle grey giants close up,

I went to Thailand to visit an elephant camp.

It turned out to be such a unique encounter that

I felt inspired to write a children’s book to tell the

almost fairy-talelike events in rhymes.

It was also the love of elephants that crossed Margit’s and

my paths and made us set out on this adventure together.

My travel companion and I spent an extraordinary

time with the elephants.
