You were once the bane of my existence … and now, you are the center of it.
Isla Crown has secured the love of two powerful rulers and broken the curses that plagued the six realms for centuries, but few know the true origins of her powers.
Now, in the wake of a crushing betrayal, Isla finds herself hungry for distraction, preferring to frequent Lightlark’s seductive haunts instead of embracing her duties as the newly crowned leader of two separate realms. Worse, her fellow rulers haven’t ceded victory quietly, and there
are others in Isla’s midst who don’t believe her ascent to power was earned.
As certain death races toward Lightlark and secrets from the past begin to unravel, Isla must weigh her responsibility to her people against the whims of the most dangerous traitor of all: her heart.

The second book, the first one is called Lightlark. This book was and absolute masterpiece for me. It wasn’t written perfectly, but the plot, romance and the characters more than made up for it. The present day chapters are more for Oro girlies, but the past chaters-her memories- are for the Grim girlies and I devoured every single of them. They were literally perfect. At the start of the book, I still wasn’t sure which team I was on, but as the story went on, I realized I was, and always will be Grim girlie. And the Grim’s villain era ? Oh my god, i loved it. Later in the books, we found out why he did what he did and that everything was for Isla. Their romance in this book was absolutelly peak and i need more of it. The tension, the banter between them, their deal, and their story of falling in love was incredible. Once again, there was so much romace, betrayal, lies, secrets, and a ton of plot twists. The last plot twist-THAT NECKLACE- but i don’t want to spoil anything, just wow. Be prepared it ends on even worse cliffhanger then before (I was soobing so much i couldn’t stop for like an hour) In the present chapters, I loved Oro. I think he’s amazing and the right one, just not for Isla. After about 20% of the book, i was rooting for Grim so much. He is perfect in general, and he is perfect for Isla. This whole book was so freaking good i give it 5 stars. Again, it’s not the best-written book, but Alex’s writing has improved so much. So if you don’t mind that (I know some people really care about the writing, but some of us aren’t looking for the best piece of literature ever written. We are just looking for an interesting story with great characters, which i think this definitely is. Don’t hate on us, we just want to enjoy the stor. It doesn’t have to be written perfectly.) I highly recommend these books, and I’m so excited for Skyshade because after this cliffhanger, I honestly feel like i might die.
