Rumour and suspicion continue to haunt the Ice People. When the bodies of four women are discovered in the woods, the family with magical powers is immediately blamed. Hilde, a young girl who has lived alone under her cruel father, is also accused of witchcraft and faces a deadly fate. But the Ice People do not turn away those in need. They take Hilde in and offer her protection. As the mystery of the murders deepens, new dangers and unexpected loyalties arise.
