The Walker on the Cape is the first book in the Sgt. Windflower Mystery series and introduces Sgt. Winston Windflower, a Cree from Northern Alberta who is stationed in a small town on the eastern tip of Canada. He falls in love with the place, with a woman and with the lifestyle of Grand Bank Newfoundland.
