This book is a memoir of my experience as an urban educator. The setting is in my Spanish classroom. The book is that it gives the reader a framework, common language and a guide from whence to operate. This book is an instructional manual and handbook for collegiate student-teachers, rookie teachers, veteran teachers and administrators alike. It provides true guidance and a verbal vision of what a great teacher should look like and how teachers should interact with their scholars. It’s a no holds barred book. It provides the good, bad and ugly of the teaching profession. The reader is shown the awesome and wonderful experience of teaching, but it also shows the challenges of great teaching. Teaching is a tough and sometimes thankless profession but it’s also equally rewarding when one considers the ultimate impact and outcome.
