The pace was nice and I wasn't bored while listening to this. Not as good as the first one but I still enjoyed this a lot. I liked the tension between Jacobs and Beck. There was a slight enemies to lovers vibe which I love! Jacobs couldn't stand Beck's attitude and Beck liked to get on Jacobs nerves. This brought some tension to the story and the chemistry between the characters was explosive. I loved the challenges, too. They were interesting and gay chicken... a classic. The importance of money was described really well. It was a part of the story and the reason why Jacobs and Beck had trouble getting along.

Hot, albeit a tad bit obvious starting point. I still enjpyed the push and pull a lot - and where that brought the protagonists. The solutions to their main dilemmas and crisis gave the story a nice touch, without being too cliché. Hot. Did I mention, hot?
