An epic saga, forever to explore.

A tapestry of life, woven with divine threads,

Adi Parva from Sections 1 to 119 treads.

In Naimisha forest, Sauti tells the tale,

Of Mahabharata, where legends prevail.

King Shantanu marries Ganga, a celestial being,

Under curse, sons are Vasus, fate sealed and seen.

Devavratha, later Bhishma, vows celibacy true,

To ensure Satyavathi's son inherits, his duty anew.

Vichitravirya's reign begins, with Bhishma as guide,

Amba, Ambika, Ambalika, princesses does provide.

The Pandavs face trials, in forests dark and deep,

Their journey marked by battles, and gods they keep.

Draupadi's Swayamvara, a test of strength and might,

Arjun wins her hand, in the morning's golden light.
