The Mahabharat, is an ancient tale of yore,

An epic saga, forever for humanity to explore.

To hear Ugrasrava Sauti's tale unbound.

For Vaishampayana's narrative to engage.

A curse, sons are the Vasus, their fate foreseeing.

To ensure Satyavathi's son the throne will pursue.

Bhishma abducts the princesses of Kashi's land,

Amba, Ambika, and Ambalika, at his command.

Amba seeks revenge, a vow to kill Bhishma makes,

A battle with Parashurama, her fate it partakes.
