Mike Reynolds is a Necromancer in a post-apocalypse world where an RPG system has been imposed on planet Earth. The former gas station clerk has risen to the challenges of the game and together with Jessica, a powerful archer, they are staying ahead of the ever-more powerful mobs.
It's not only monsters and dungeon crawls that Mike and his growing team have to face: humans are a danger too. Given a vicious struggle for survival and the appearance of powers that allow individuals to dominate other people, it's no wonder that those who would try to stick to a moral path have to be constantly on guard.
