The Red Badge of Courage

The Red Badge of Courage has long been regarded a treasure in American literature. Published in 1895, the book follows young Henry Fleming as he sets out to fight with the Union Army in the Civil War. However, upon seeing the horrors of the battlefield, Fleming's initial enthusiasm and desire for glory soon turns to fear and terror. Brimming with brave action and bloody conflict, The Red Badge of Courage captures the raw emotions felt by the soldiers facing violence and death. This story is one of finding courage in the face of unspeakable horrors.
