Kane Matthews, Alpha of his small wolf pack in Cloverleah has been raised to believe that mates are not possible for gay men and has lived his life accordingly. But with hunters, Alpha challenges, Kane's parents and a smitten Alpha from another pack all interfering in Kane and Shawn's budding romance, not to mention some surprising answers about Shawn's own unique talents can these two true mates find the happily ever after they are looking for?

As a story this is very entertaining a tale Unfortunately, from writing point of view there's lack of polishing. E.g. the narrator in the text seems to fluctuate between all-knowing and stuck within the protagonists' heads in turn. Some other small blips, such as repeating information given in dialogue tag in the quoted dialogue weren't too plentiful, and thus tolerable. However, certain factual issues or downright mistakes really bugged me - regardless of this being a fantasy novel. With an attempt to depict a particular very real lifestyle in a believable manner, in my opinion, comes responsibility to do the research. Preferably have the facts checked by someone with first hand experience and the necessary knowledge level to assess the representation. As this was a big part of many if the pack members' lifestyle...[SPOILERS AHEAD!!!] . . . . . . ... it was a disappointment to read what's supposed to be a safe, sane, consentual, self respecting BDSM club to have allowed ANYONE dominate someone in a show/demonstration, having only watched others dominate. Let alone giving permission to use the title of master.
