The plot was a bit lame. I 💕 love the first books of this Ash -series, and I'm looking forward to reading more, now, that I found, there are more of the series available. I like, that in all of his books there is a social tendency to be found. The criticism of the American society is delightful, especially to an European reader, as most of the bigger European societies have some kind of a back-up for people that have fallen out of job, because of the general unemployment state, or for an other issue, like sickness. Yet, even in Europe there are all too many people who have been cast out of the nominal society, and have been left out with no protection at all. If one reads the earlier 1600-century economists or social scientists, or what ever you may call these "enlightenment period" scientists, it becomes obvious, that if a country/society/government, wished their rules to be obeyed, they must provide s good reason for the population to follow them. Such is not easy to find, as we have accepted capitalism as our new religion and make no restrictions to its limits.
