Treatise Written to a Devout Man is a religious treatise written by Walter Hilton, English mystic from fourteenth century. This treatise deals with the relationship between two kinds of life inside the holy Church, corporal and spiritual, by which Christians serve God, realizing that corporal working was ordained for spiritual, and not spiritual working for corporal. Treatise also deals with the subjects such as the virtue of the saints and the Christ's humanity.
