I am in awe after listening to this audiobook.
Even if you are like me and read the summary thinking *"ummm, nope..."* because of the daddy-thing, PLEASE, GIVE THIS STORY A GO.
Personally, up until now I rejected any book, movie, or series with that specific troupe, but something in this story setting and characteristics of the protagonists made me give this a chance. And boy, am I glad I did. (You'll see what I did there. 😏)
It's not too rare to have two people whose lives change fundamentally as a result of them growing to know, support, and help heal one anther. What brought a delightful twist to this slowly intensifying love is the psychology of sexuality and recovering from abuse. Not to mention the daddy-kink - which used to be one of my least favorite dynamics in mature erotic stories. This audiobook depicted daddy-boy dynamic in a way that opened my eyes to something important, I feel.
