Sent to his uncle's estate to learn the ways of commerce, Frank becomes entangled with the legendary outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor and his band of Highlanders.
As Frank becomes involved with Rob Roy's activities, including smuggling and cattle rustling, he finds himself torn between loyalty to his family and sympathy for the Highland cause. Along the way, he forms a complex relationship with Diana Vernon, a spirited and independent woman who challenges his assumptions about loyalty, love, and honor.
