He has been on the staff of the magazine since 1989 and has been editor since 1997. A tournament bridge player since 1975, his master point holdings put him in the top five percent of tournament players. He has written extensively about the game for more than a decade and edited most of the world's best-known bridge writers. He lives in Memphis, Tennessee.
