Die Forschungsfrage dieser Arbeit lautet, ob es zwischen der theologischen Idee des allgemeinen Priestertums aller Gläubigen und pädagogischen Denkfiguren unter dem Stichwort Empowerment historische, insbesondere aber systematische Parallelen und Zusammenhänge gibt. Zur Untersuchung dieser Frage unternimmt die Arbeit interpretative Vermittlungen zwischen der theologischen Tradition auf der einen und gemeindepsychologischen, sozialarbeitstheoretischen, förderpädagogischen und pädagogischen Empowerment-Theorien auf der anderen Seite. Dabei werden auch die Ambivalenzen und unbeabsichtigten Folgen beider Leitideen deutlich. Insgesamt wird so in interdisziplinärem Ausgriff der Horizont für eine religionspädagogisch verantwortete Rede von Empowerment unter der Zielperspektive der Befähigung und Bevollmächtigung zum allgemeinen Priestertum ausgelotet.
[Qualification and Empowerment. Interpretative Attempts to Mediate Between the General Priesthood and Concepts of Empowerment in Religious Education]
The research question of this study is whether there are historical, and especially systematic, parallels and connections between the theological idea of the general priesthood of all believers and pedagogical figures of thought under the keyword empowerment. In order to investigate this question, the work undertakes interpretative mediations between the theological tradition on the one hand and community psychological, social work theoretical, educational and pedagogical empowerment theories on the other. This also reveals the ambivalences and unintended consequences of both guiding ideas. In an interdisciplinary approach, the horizon for a religious educational speech of empowerment is thus explored from the perspective of empowerment and authorization for the general priesthood.
