Lukas Steinbeck widmet sich der tansanischen Christian Education und überführt den großenteils mündlich bestimmten Fachdiskurs in eine schriftliche Rekonstruktion. Er berücksichtigt dabei sowohl die historische als auch gegenwärtige Perspektive mithilfe einer missionskatechetischen Aufarbeitung und aktuellen Bestandsaufnahme des Faches. Herzstück der Untersuchung sind die im Rahmen empirischer Forschung entstandenen werkbiographischen Miniaturen, in denen sechs tansanische Religionspädagogen die Christian Education aus persönlicher Perspektive entfalten. Auf Basis dieser Erkenntnisse wird Christian Education als tansanischer Gesprächspartner in den interkulturellen Diskurs der vergleichenden Religionspädagogik einbezogen.
Lukas Steinbeck analyses the Christian Education in Tanzania and thus transforms most of the oral discourse into a written analysis. He considers not only the historical but also the contemporary perspective with the help of a mission and catechesis oriented debate and recent approaches on the subject. The core of the analysis are work-biographical miniatures, developed in the context of an empirical survey in which six Tanzanian religious education teachers point out their view on Christian Education. On the basis of these results Christian Education can be included as a Tanzanian dialogue partner in the intercultural discourse of a comparative Religious education.
