À propos de ce livre

Other people may be eager to find the gift, lesson, strength, or new beginning hidden inside your loss. Their intentions may be kind, but the demand to turn suffering into improvement can become another burden. Grief Without a Lesson makes room for sorrow that has not become meaningful, useful, or inspiring and may never do so. William R. Stanek does not offer a schedule for closure or promise that pain will transform you into a stronger person. Instead, he helps you name what is gone, recognize what the present day still requires, and release expectations about how quickly you should improve. Meaning may emerge later. It may not. You are still permitted to receive support, protect your capacity, and continue living without explaining why the loss was somehow necessary.
