À propos de ce livre

A Tyrolese peasant girl with a voice is heard singing on an alp by an English tourist and is carried down into a career and a marriage that the mountains had not prepared her for. Allen wrote the book in the scenery it describes and acknowledged Baillie-Grohman's work on the Tyrol for the local color. He was a popularizer of Darwin who paid the bills with fiction, and the anthropology shows.
