Robert Klayman, former Los Angeles private investigator, is out of prison after doing time for gunplay on his last P.I. job. Blacklisted and broke, he falls in with a gangster who sends him to Ukraine to move a stolen Rembrandt out of the country. Klayman is soon caught up in the criminal machinations of the Russian Mafia while being sought out by thugs on both sides of the globe. Working alone in the world of international crime, he takes on the laws of the jungle when he finds himself a pawn in his employers’ murderous gambit.
