Ozma of Oz

"Ozma of Oz by L. Frank Baum is the third book in the beloved Oz series and continues Dorothy Gale's adventures beyond Kansas. While traveling by sea to Australia, Dorothy is swept overboard during a storm and washes ashore in the magical Land of Oz. There, she befriends Billina, a talking chicken, and soon becomes entangled in a strange and perilous quest.

Dorothy discovers that the royal family of Ev has been transformed into decorative ornaments by the cruel Nome King, who rules an underground realm filled with enchanted treasures. Determined to rescue the imprisoned royals, Dorothy joins forces with Princess Ozma, the rightful ruler of Oz, along with the mechanical Tik-Tok and other whimsical companions.

To free the captives, each member of the rescue party must enter the Nome King's chamber and correctly identify which ornament hides a transformed human. Failure means being turned into an ornament forever. Through courage, cleverness, and loyalty, Dorothy and her friends confront danger in a test of wit rather than brute strength.

Blending fantasy, humor, and moral clarity, Ozma of Oz explores themes of friendship, bravery, and justice, reinforcing Baum's enduring vision of wonder and imagination."
