Eine junge Frau wird im Richmond Park tot aufgefunden. Es stellt sich dabei heraus, dass es sich bei der Toten um die Frau des schwerreichen Geschäftsmannes Conrad Sanders handelt. Inspektor Wolfford bittet gleich zu Beginn der Ermittlungen Sherlock Holmes und Dr. Watson hinzu. Schnell ist klar, den Mord kann nur ein Linkshänder verübt haben.
