A knight, newly-returned from the Crusades, rides out one day to look over his estates. He doesn’t return and nothing is seen or heard of him or his horse again. His grieving lady dies of a broken heart within a year. This is the legend of Elmswood, a mid-Kent village.
The children of the Davington family and their friend, John, go with their sledges to Castle Hill to have fun in the deep snow, but their fun turns into a terrifying adventure when they encounter a knight. Is he the knight from the legend? They think so, but are they right?
