From what I remember, I definitely prefer the first book (Renaissance), mainly because I prefer Florence to Rome 🤭 but also because it’s been so long since I read Renaissance, that I’ve kind of forgotten who was who and what was going on. And listening to the audiobook definitely contributed to me taking a while to get into the story Also, the 2x speed was still not fast enough unfortunately 😔
